An inspiring documentary: „13th“

Some facts only: 97% of inmates in the US never had a trial. 2.3 million citizen are incarcerated in the US with 40% coloured people. While ever 1 out of 3 black people actually IS in prison.

Prosecution makes deals by threatening with the outlook of possible punishment. So many people accept what seems to them the better deal. If they can. Most prisoners are too poor to afford bail. So the prison building industry had some glorious years. Big concerns profiting of Prison industries are nothing but slavery:

According to the Left Business Observer, “the federal prison industry produces 100 percent of all military helmets, war supplies and other equipment. The workers supply 98 percent of the entire market for equipment assembly services; 93 percent of paints and paintbrushes; 92 percent of stove assembly; 46 percent of body armor; 36 percent of home appliances; 30 percent of headphones/microphones/speakers; and 21 percent of office furniture. Airplane parts, medical supplies and much more: prisoners are even raising seeing-eye dogs for blind people.”

One worker makes 90 cents to 4 dollars a day. It proves the fact that as long as anyone can be a source for profit, anyone is prone to be abused and used or even treated a slave. This concept does not distinct your skin colour, so don’t ever feel safe white boy.
